First, I found a place to live in Auburn! I also have two great girls to live with and I am so excited to move in and start getting to know them! Since I found a place to live, all of my time is now revolving around finding things to put in my new house! During the last four years, I always lived on campus and my room was always furnished, so I am literally having to buy everything for my new room, which is sooooo EXPENSIVE! To try to save a little money I have decided to go with the same color scheme that I had in my room in the sorority house...black and yellow. I must say that when Lauren and I first chose to do black and yellow two years ago, we were way ahead of the trend. We couldn't find anything black and yellow and kind of had to piece our room together. Our room ended up looking great, but I definitely have it much easier this time because there is a lot more black and yellow stuff available.
This is my new bedding from Target!
(This picture is from the blog http://blackwhiteyellow.blogspot.com/ because I couldn't get the picture off target.com)
My parents are going to buy me a new queen size mattress (insert hallelujah here since I had a twin for the last 4 years at school) but I am trying to come up with creative ideas for a headboard. Leslie recently posted about using an antique mantle as a headboard and I love that idea! I have also discussed making my own fabric headboard with my dad. Another option that I love is one that I saw here on Kristen's blog. The monogram mirror obviously isn't a headboard, but it would dress up the wall above my bed if I didn't have a headboard.
In an effort to save money, my mom and I went to several yard sales Saturday hoping to find some steals. We had lots of fun, but we only found one thing. It was a chest of drawers for$10! After we were done with yard sales, we marched right into Home Depot to the paint department and got the supplies I needed to paint it. I primed it today so it isn't finished, but here is the before shot. I plan to change out the knobs after I'm done painting it black.
Ok, on to more randoms. I am trying to figure out how to use Pinterest...but it's not working. I am on the waiting list for an invite, but even if I could log in, I don't know what I'm doing!
Also, I joined Twitter and I am slowly but surely figuring out how to use that too!
My eBay selling is still going great! I have almost made enough money to buy a tv for my new room and a new computer! Thank goodness Best Buy and Walmart both let you pay wit PayPal!
I am so excited to be spending my July 4th with my brother and boyfriend at the Braves game!
I guess that's enough random stuff for now! Happy 4th of July! Yay America!

I'm happy you found a place to live!! Pinterest is amazing once you get started! You just click repin on anything you like and it saves to your account :)
